Not So Great Movies Podcast: 02 Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang with Mysterion & Madame de Savoye
The City TV “Not So” Great Movies Podcast is back with a creepy Canadian children’s classic!
Brian has special guests, Mysterion and Madame de Savoye, AKA Chris and Lizz to discuss the wonderfully weird 1978 film “Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang.”
Despite the author condemning it as “A Very, Very Bad Job,” the movie has its charms, including some fantastically creepy art direction, Webster’s dad, shower curtain “slime monsters”, and a big fight in a 1970s toy store with cameos from Mego Planet of the Apes dolls.
Add to that discussions about Phantom of the Paradise, Lizz’s Much Music days, YTV appearances, SCTV Props, Cronenberg connections to this movie, overdue videos, Suspect Video, Mordecai Richler, Kids in the Hall conspiracy theories, and being sent to a variety store with a note for smokes.
