5 Awesome Things on eBay this week
5 Awesome Things on eBay this week-
Dr Steel, Peter Potamus, Tarzan model kits, Kirk Swagger and Fisher Price Adventure People Safari!
Due to eBay’s ever changing guidelines and possibly some pointless sarcasm on my part, I need to inform you that this contains links that are sponsored. I want to be transparent that I do this for what works out to a small stipend. I hope that’s ok.
Big Jim Dr. Steel Sears Exclusive- eBay Affiliate Link-
Talk about an old flame; I used to own one of these very hard-to-find exclusives that are from the age when Mattel was transitioning the Big Jim line into the P.A.C.K range that I’ve been obsessed with forever. I sold mine back to the original owner who missed it and well, sometimes you gotta do what the little voice tells you to do. No REGERTS! I like this piece, but I don’t love it, and while this one tempted me, my January credit card bills will be “phone book” thick.

Peter Potamus Bath Tub Whale toy (sponsored eBay link I get compensated for)
I only Peter Potamus as the “Did you get that thing I sent you” guy from Harvey Birdman and well, bless him. Was there an actual whale on his program, I’m too lazy to google and that’s saying a lot because I go on some tangents. Just last night, I was wondering what Adric from Doctor Who was up to. Anyhoo, this Whale may be connected to Peter Potamus somehow, I’m skeptical.

Aurora Tarzan Comic Scenes Model Kit- eBay sponsored link
I literally grew up with the Aurora Comic Scenes models all over the place. My dad bought a tractor trailer load of these on deep clearance in 1976 and I was allowed to have all of them. My modelling skills were poor at 5, but I mainly used them as action figures. My collection was forever ruined when my sister got car sick on them and they were thrown into a cornfield. True Story!

Don Moor Star Trek Shirt for kids (sponsored eBay Link)
This shirt will forever remind me of this awesome shot Sarah sent to me years ago of her younger brother heading off to preschool with a Shatner swagger.
Fisher Price Adventure People Wild Animal Safari Set – This is a link that is sponsored
I can’t do a pre-Christmas show without some Fisher Price toys and well, this is the set that started it all for me 49 (Geez!) years ago. This set is toy perfection to me.

Where was that Star Trek shirt when I was small enough to wear it? I would’ve traded my little brother for one.
For the record, a spouting whale appears briefing in the opening titles. Don’t recall if the whale (or the harem girls, for that matter) ever appeared in the actual toons:
