Amsco Super Babies Lot - 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Amsco Super Babies (eBay Sponsored Link)

As a kid I thought these were the worst thing ever, I really detested “Baby stuff” and well, these had Baby in the title. I’ve softened on them since then but still don’t need to own them.

Takara Jeeg- 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Takara Steel jeeg   (affiliate link) —

“Baron Karza, I am your father; you too, Force Commander!” I love Jeeg despite never having seen the show itself. This wonderful Magnetic figure was retooled for the Micronauts, and while I have a loose one, this boxed one is well priced and super tempting. What I’m saying is, please take this temptation away.

Lot of 70s Sesame Street Calenders - 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Sesame Street Calendars (affiliate link) —

I vividly remember the 1978 Sesame Street Calendar, I even remember my dad having to borrow it to plan something for his business. I may have had some of the earlier ones but the memory has faded.

Filmation Fleetwodd Space Sentinels toy- 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Space Sentinels figure by Fleetwood Toys (affiliate link)—-

My love and admiration for the Filmation Space Sentinels is well documented (see video below); this is the closest we got to action figures. The seller also has Astrea, but sadly, no Hercules.

McDonald's Play Place Rules sign -5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

McDonald’s Play Place Sign (affiliate link)

While I did seriously have eyes for this vintage Hamburglar statue, I have to admit this would be even cooler to have in the entrance to my back yard with the addition of “under penalty of death.”

Well, I can understand your lack of interest in the Super Babies as a kid. A cute line, but definitely aimed towards the girls market. I haven’t seen them before.

They do, however, remind me a heckuva lot of the Mattel Honey Hill Bunch doll line from the mid-late 70s. That line was 4 inches high, but the proportions seem similar. My sister had them and we played with them (she was 8 or 9 when they came out), as did an ex wife of mine.

I think I’ve actually picked up one or two of the Honey Hills in my own toy and doll collection.

I think someone should make a Catwoman [tm], Super Babies doll!
    😀

Darn it! I meant a Catgirl [tm] doll.

Darn my lack of superheroes knowledge!

    ;D
