What’s not to love about this 1977 licensing ad for Marvel Comics, it’s like Spider-Man is dropping a treasure trove of Mego items on you along with classics like Crazy Foam and Colorforms. That’s a monsterous improvement over the usual rain and bird poop that normally falls on me from above…
I love that this page from 1982 still has some of the more solid 70s designs like that DC comics Super heroines design with the more trendy characters like Pac-Man and the Dukes. Wish I could collect these but they are space killers!

It never phased me that Spider-Man never seemed to have bus fare in the comics or TV but an amazing fleet of vehicles on the toy shelves. I didn’t question toy makers logic as a kid, that’s the kind of sass that could get you on the naughty list…. .
There is no doubt in my mind that I would have spent all of my pocket money on one of these as a kid. It’s just what one? I’m not ashamed to admit even Ziggy was a contender for me as a kid.
