Planet of the Apes store display

My pal Corey, a purveyor of amazing treats and the guy who gets a majority of my pay cheque (Seriously check out his Ebay auctions) sent me this photo of a Planet of the Apes store display from 1974.

As a lover of all things POTA, it was a joy to see but the name “Deka” didn’t exactly ring any bells when it came to Ape merchandise. So I had to do some digging.

Turns out Deka made Planet of the Apes cups, mugs and bowls like the one pictured below. Honestly, how did anyone have the foresight to save this store display?

I swiped this photo from Ebay, in case somebody wants to buy this swell cup, all you need do is click this link.

More Ape goodness…
