Holy Soapy Vomit Batman!

Holy Soapy Vomit Batman!

Crazy Foam
This week marks the anniversary of Plaid Stallions, so I’m devoting much of it to things that me happy. One of those items would be Crazy Foam, although I’m not exactly sure why.For those not in the know, Crazy Foam is a bath product, which if I’m not mistaken smelled a lot like shaving cream. The true fun of it in the 70’s were the licensed Superhero cans, which allowed your favourite Comic Book Star to throw up on you.As weird as that sounds, these things bring me right back to childhood which is pretty powerful considering it’s not really a toy.

I loved these! I can’t imagine many cans of these survived. I don’t recall which ones I had, but Spidey sure looks familiar.

There were some similar Justice League cans out a few years back, but I never found them.

Oh. My. God! Every now and then I smell that sweet scent, and am overcome with a wave of nostalgia. It’s similar scented to shaving cream, but not quite… I can’t think of anything in the world like it, and I would still wash up with spidey and batman if they made these! Isn’t it funny how a single scent can take you back so many years???

I was having a random memory of Crazy Foam this morning, and decided to blog about it myself. Then I did a Google search for Crazy Foam, and found your blog. I LOVE your site. I put a link on my Crazy Foam ramblings to your site so that my friends can enjoy it, too. Thanks for all the effort you put into your site. Great memories.

Wow, just seeing the picture brought back the smell of the foam; kind of a perfumy soapy smell. They say the sense of smell is the strongest memory trigger.

I did a Google search hoping they still made Crazy Foam. I loved it as a kid!

I'll have to poke around your blog since I love 70's pop culture, too. : )

Crazy Foam was silly bath time fun. I am pretty sure I had both the Spider-Man and Batman ones and to my recollection you were able to mold the foam into shapes. Sadly I do not recall the scent at this point in my life.
