I picked up this wonderful boxed Android from the Densy Fisher Cyborg Line at last summer’s PowerCon. It was a trade with my long-time and trusted friend Mark Huckabone, so I had never thought of opening it until today.

 

I got a real treat inside as the figure is C10 unused alongside his fabulous missiles, usually missing. 

For those not in the know, this is the Japanese Henshin Cyborg figure range by Takara. Toymaker Denys Fisher brought the line to the UK and crafted a wonderful back story for the characters in the form of comic strips on the box.

The artwork for this fabulous backstory is just so “British Annual” scratchy and raw; I adore it. I never saw these as a kid (Canadian), but I know for a fact that I’d have been obsessed with this line if I had. Clear Robot people who can turn into monsters in Mego scale? It’s a no-brainer for me.

I also just love the dramatic creative writing they employed, I want to “Strike Terror in a Soul” and have a “Hideous Mission” someday!
