Japanese Superman figure (eBay Affiliate Link) ––
I believe the word for such an item is “Keshi,” which means “Rubber Eraser” in Japanese. I would also consider the figures made by Diener US as technically Keshi as well. What strikes me about this piece is the Neal Adams art on the box and the fun mix of characters. As a kid, I always flipped out if I saw Aquaman on something.
Six Million Dollar Man Play Suit (eBay Affiliate Link) —
This playsuit has been making me giggle for days, but I couldn’t figure out why. It reminds me of how my friends and I would run in slow motion while pretending to be bionic. So I’m not laughing at the kid on the box, I AM the kid on the box at least metaphorically. Also, now I just run in slow motion.
Centasable Silly Swords (eBay Afiliate Link) —
I’m going to guess that every kid who had one of these (a) pretended they were lightsabers and (b) somehow hurt their eye.
Sesame Street Bert and Ernie Radio (eBay Affiliate Link) —
I’m very pro “Bert and Ernie” items in this column, and that’s good because it seems to be a total bottomless pit of merchandise! George Lucas should kiss Bert’s ring which I imagine looks like a Bottlecap/Pigeon hybrid of some sort. I’ve thought too much about this.

Hee heee…. I think those swords were re-released a zillion times over the years. If I’m not mistaken, they predate Star Wars by a few years. (Came out in the early 70’s; same time as Sockem-Boppers?) We had a few of them. Got them at Maple Leaf Importing; an overstock/warehouse place we had in town. We used to play “bicycle jousting” with them: fighting from bike-back like the knights of old.
Hurt more than just our eyes, we did….

I hadn’t heard of the Spaceketeers [tm], anime, TV show.
I went looking for Spaceketeers, online, + I found it, as well as the anime, TV show: Starvengers [tm].
