Cryotron Carry Case (eBay Link) —
This was a Sears Canada exclusive, and I remember that catalogue fondly as it was the first time I saw the Mego Black Hole Humanoid and Old B.O.B.
Despite it kind of looking like a “Space Toilet Seat” I dream of finding one packed with figures like the happy kid below. Dang, I even had that shirt and haircut as a kid.
AHI Batman Communicator Rack Toy (eBay Link)
It’s pretty funny that it took me this long to realize these are the same communicators from the Remco Batman Utility belt despite me knowing this is the same company. I’d like to pretend that I just forgot this fact but I’m not sure.
What I am sure of is no kid ever heard a damn thing on the other end of this.
GI Joe Avenger Pursuit Craft (eBay Link)-–
I was five when this toy came out and as I’ve mentioned before, I was ALL IN ON THE SUPER ADVENTURE TEAM! Teaming up GI Joe, Bulletman and Atomic Man to fight Space cavemen? I was all in. I only ever got one vehicle from this line and that was the capture copter, I still treasure that toy. However, these boxes with their glorious art really hit me. I just have a serious space issue these days.
Fisher Price McDonaldland playset (eBay Link)—
I was planning to cool it on Mcdonald’s stuff this week, but I was recently at a collector’s house and saw one of these. I had no idea they were a thing but now I need a Hamburglar LP figure more than I want air.
Superhero Notebooks (eBay Link) —
Back in the 90s, there was a cool collectibles shop in Toronto called “Fun-O-Rama,” and it was a treasure trove of stuff like this. Superhero notebooks, finger rings, pens and finger puppets were all dirt cheap. I used that stuff like they were simple office supplies and well, seeing the price of this lot? I regret nothing except that I didn’t spend more money at Fun-O-Rama.
