5 Awesome Things on eBay this week- Jack Kirby Sings, Space Sleeping bags, Spock Ears, King King Kite and ALIEN ATTACK!
70s Space themed Sleeping Bag (sponsored link) —
My friend Courtney found this gem. I love the vague Japanese influence on this, but I can’t figure out if it’s knocking off something or not.
Alien Attack Toyco (sponsored link) —
These came out in Canada when I was 11 or 12 and I had this one and AN AMAZING D&D styled one that I want to track down, just for the box. Inside this set is a playmat, some army men astronauts (which will be familiar) and small bootleg colourform aliens, which blew my mind. I love this set, own it and have even done a video about these below.
Aviva Star Trek Spock Ears (sponsored link) —
Aviva made some really cool bits of Star Trek: The Motion Picture merchandise that mostly flew under the radar probably because the film did not inspire kids to buy the merch and act out the movie unless you were weird, like me. In my defence, the Marvel comic around that time was pretty decent.
The Voices of Marvel Flexi Disc (sponsored link) —
I’ve both heard of and heard this (oof) record before, but I’ve never seen one ever. I imagine this is a real trophy for a Silver Age fan. No idea on whether the price is fair here, however.
King Kong Kite (sponsored link) —
Saying “King Kong Kite” 3 times fast is fun and helps reduce cortisol levels. Try it. Also, if they made it, they put King King on it.
