1979 Kingsford Star Force Catalog

Following the blitz of Star Wars, a lot of previously unknown companies began cashing in on what the toy industry called the “Sci Fi craze” of the late 70s. These toys were often lower priced generic toys that likely offered better margin for the toy retailer.

Kingsford’s line of Star Force toys is one of those lines that many of us likely had but had no idea what it was from, the line looked like an unlikely union of Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica, which was a pretty sharp look in 1979,

    These are very cool! I only remember seeing the GOR helmet. Those ships are very cool. They would be very sweet set up with X-Wings and Ties. I don't think the Galactica ships were set right for the 3 3/4 inch guys, but I do have a 2 inch Viper figure for the ships who does fit into my Cylon Raider. So the Commander Adama would fly one of these ships as easily as a SW figure.
