It’s commonplace now but I think it’s really cool that they made this design for boys and girls. I’m married to a Star Wars fan who was denied many cool toys because “it was considered a boy’s thing”.
I truly never bore of seeing stuff like this…
Man, this image is simple but packs a powerful memory punch to Christmas time 1979, that second wave of SW figures was pretty exciting. I may get it put on a T Shirt.
I’m no longer afraid to admit that it would have been a tough decision for me as a kid between Star Wars and Ziggy.
I love this neat British Ad for Palitoy UK, who were pretty confident they were going to sell football fields full of Star Wars toys (psssst they did). I’m especially smitten with these drawings of the figures which are there because the ad was placed so far in advance of the film.
While we’re pretty spoiled with cons these days, it wasn’t always the case.
