Speaking of home made Star Wars

After declaring my love for home made Star Wars appearances last week, Kip sent in this awesome mural from his eighth grade graduation where the theme was “May the force be with you always”.
While it’s not a mall appearance, it is just a special bit of magic isn’t it? This is Franklin public school in Markham, Ontario BTW. I grew up not too far from there, so does that make me cool by association? Probably not.

One girl and a bunch of dudes . . . just like the cast of Star Wars!

Me and a friend named Kevin painted the mural with it laying on the floor so all the characters ended up with short legs and long torsos.

I envy the schools that allowed this kind of thing. All the pre-post-secondary schools I went to were stuck-up and stick-in-mud types that would have a conniption fit if you even suggested this sort of thing.

Please note: still no medal for Chewbacca 🙂

It is interesting how Darth Vader, from this vantage point, is so prominently displayed behind the podium. It's like he is the emcee of this event.
