Nerf!
It sounds rather odd that after 3 years of blogging about 1970’s toys, I’ve never once mentioned Nerf products of any kind. It seems odd considering how cool I think this stuff is, especially the safe missiles….I have a toy collector friend, who has one of those collections I can only dream of. When I last visited, he told me he has something “awesome” to show me. I was expecting some never before seen prototype but it was a boxed Nerfman. You could tell it was a huge grail for him.
Ooh! I had a Nerfman AND a hippo. Good times.
Why don’t they make this stuff any more? 🙁
Nerfman ROCKED!!!! That was definitely my favourite Nerf anything, ever! Although, the Nerf rocket launcher was a very close second.. Nerfman would often battle against it (and win, of course).

First off… your blog is da bomb! Secondly… when I saw the Nerf catalog page I was like: ” Hmmm-heh…oh yeah, Nerf stuff cool.” Then I spied Nerfman, and wept a wee nerfy nostalgic tear. My kid brother had one, and thought it was so cool. Me I just liked to torment him by running it over with my Huffy. Yes…
