I get to be Paul Lynde

I get to be Paul Lynde

While it’s cool that this catalog page from Ideal shows not only Paul Lynde but Norman Fell himself, the home game loses marks for not having celebrity names. Unless I’m mistaken and there was an actor named “Tim Type” who was known for being outrageous.

Without the actual celebs, I fail to see how this game could be fun. Unless you were neighbours with Paul or Charlie and could call them in for a round or two. Maybe you could sub CNR as well 🙂

There was no one like Paul–I LOVED THAT GUY! I only watched that godawful show to hear his saucy comments.

"Yeah, Charles Nelson Reilly, he's our man.
He can't heal the sick with the touch of his hand.
He can't walk on water, can't make wine flow, he's just another 'b' actor on the late late show!"

We used to have the '80s version by Milton Bradley, and the made-up celebs were much wackier.

Of course, I noticed the new video game version has actual actors lending their voices to the game, like Jeffrey Tambor and Brad Garrett…
