Masters of the Universe was another toy line that caught my eye during this time. It’s bright colors and simple themes reminded me of a simplier time (pretty amazing considering I was 12 at the time). Castle Greyskull is also one of the best done playsets I have ever seen. Although I closet watched the series on Saturdays, it was after all filmation, even I knew I was too old to buy the figures.I think that made me mad, that is until I discovered girls and teen drama.

i was about the same age as you(12), but i actually did buy the toys, ebcause i though they were so cool looking.

the villains had a real Batman Rogues Gallery feel to them (BeastMan! Tri-Clops!) and that was one of the things that really hooked me.

OMG! One of my childhood memories is waking up Christmas morning and being SO excited to receive the Castle Grayskull I had been asking for! It really was cool. It even came with a little falcon to represent the sorceress.

I was around ten when I first started collecting these guys. The villains were awesome as was Castle Grayskull and the Point Dread attachment with the Talon Fighter. I even remember He-Man and Skeletor making a personal appearance at my local TRUs!
