Fun with Mr Action

LJN’s Mr Action went by many names around the world (seriously, this line sold everywhere there were kids it seems) but it’s largely forgotten it seems. Most commonly mistake many of the parts for GI Joe these days, which is ironic because lines like this actually were seriously hurting Hasbro’s bottom line in the early 1970s.

I'm sure she's not (I think the size would be wrong), but his ladyfriend there sure looks the long-lost-then-refound Lincoln Monters Female Victim, no?

The cookware and guitar were also sold as fashion doll accessories and I've had quite a few of them over the years. Not Mattel, but packaged as Shillman and Mego Maddie Mod. There are literally thousands of these things around!

I remember for some reason wanting the helicopter as a kidbut never got it. Not sure why I wanted it as I had the AT Copter. Many years later I inherited a box of Joe stuff from mr brother in law and besides having a Steve Scout Hot Air Ballon in the box still inside, it had that green atv that's pictured. I still have it but never bothered to track it down and did not make the connection to the copter until now. Thanks!

I have a couple of Mr. Actions (one with the card) and a blond one (by Shillman, with the same body type and markings) I recently bought on Ebay. I've also seen a few of the outfits selling for high prices.

If I EVER decide that I want to jump off a parachute training tower, wearing just my camouflage boxer shorts…just for fun, PLEASE stop me! 😀

If I ever decide that running up, + using a zip-line, while dressed in only my camo shorts…is fun: PLEASE STOP ME! 😀
