First Look: Mego Demon Etrigan from the Worlds Greatest Superheroes

“Gone! Gone! – the form of man – Rise the demon Etrigan!”  This unlikely hero was created in 1972 as two characters – demonologist Jason Blood forced to share a body with the hell-born Etrigan. Merlin’s servant since the days of Camelot, Etrigan is a member of the Justice League Dark magical circle, fighting demons and extradimensional foes.

Created by Jack Kirby, the Demon was a different type of comic book. Part horror, part superhero – Etrigan was an anti-hero before the term became popular. Even after his series ended, Etrigan kept popping up in other comics – teaming up with Batman, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, and other superheroes.

Mego Corp. continues to expand their 50th Anniversary World’s Greatest Superheroes collection with this sometimes hero.
