The End of the line for the Bionic Man and Woman

1978 saw the end of Kenner’s wildly popular Six Million Dollar man line. Despite dwindling sales, Kenner revamped Steve with “Bio Sonic” power and gave him a new villain to fight in the form of the Venus Space Probe.

So while Steve Austin might have been on his way out, he certainly went with a bang or at least a very loud “dun-nuh-nuh-nuh”.Check out the 1978 Kenner Six Million Dollar Man Catalog Here

Oh, so THAT’S what “B.M.V.” stands for. (Har-har.) But seriously… I really want that thing.

Hi, this is TR. I remember seeing the [six million dollar man, Venus space probe toy]in my teen years. I think it was in Ohio, or Connecticut in the 1980s. More likely Ohio.
think I saw it for sale on a shelf in an indoor store for swimming pools + pool items. Or maybe the toy was in a garden shop or a department store type place.
For all of you toy collectors, keep your eyes out for it, even in non-toy stores. You might find that Venus toy somewhere.
