The left-hand box art almost certainly inspired one of Marilyn Manson's more notorious concert looks. Based on the years when these were popular, he would have been right around the age when ghastly imagery like this would have made a lasting impression.
The "Color-Vue Pencil" sounds like it's too good for this product.
