Carpet the kitchen!

   The fad of carpeting the kitchen didn’t take off in the 1970s. While not as gross as carpeting the bathroom, it’s sole benefit were the deeply hypnotic patterns often made you forget why you were in the kitchen, thus discouraging snacks between meals.
