Finally, I’ve solved the mystery of “Where did my parents get their patio furniture in 1975?” The answer is Sears, which considering we only had two department stores in town, really wasn’t that much of a “whodunit”.

The idea of Halloween style masks being marketed all year long is a wise one to me. I would have been all over this UK display.
My mom bought me a Sesame Street rain slicker this year (1978), I remember being a little embarrassed wearing it as many of my peers were wearing KISS shirts at this point. I honestly would have loved the Six Million Dollar Man or Star Trek ones pictured here.
