Mego Announces Atlas Comics Toy Line Plus Marvel Update!

Mego Announces Atlas Comics Line Plus Marvel Update! Mego Corporation is teaming up with Atlas Comics and Wal-Mart just in time for New York Comic Con! The Mego Museum interviewed Marty, Paul, and Bruce from Mego as they dropped their latest news, the Atlas Comics toy range. This Toy line is based on the characters from the 1970s comic company formed by Marvel’s founder, Martin Goodman.

During its brief tenure, Atlas changed the comic industry and attracted talents like Larry Lieber, Steve Ditko, Jeff Rovin, and Howard Chaykin, to name but a few.

Recently, the Atlas properties have been revived and optioned for a series of TV and film projects.

Mego is launching four new 8″ Atlas figures based on their classic comic designs next weekend at New York Comic Con. Wal-Mart will reveal a new character each convention day and give away 100 of each figure. Marty Abrams will sign all four days of NYCC at the Wal-Mart booth. The first wave of Mego Atlas Comics figures comes in a display box complete with a reprint of the character’s first issue. It is expected to be available at Walmart.com this December.

Marvel Comics News:

Mego also revealed that the upcoming Marvel waves will be exclusive to Disney Stores, Theme Parks, and the Disney website. Each series will consist of four Megos in their classic window boxes. Wave 1 of the Marvel line is expected to ship in December 2024, and four waves are scheduled for 2025, bringing a total of 20 Marvel Mego figures in the coming months. Disney will reveal characters in the coming weeks.
