Space Giants- 5 Awesome Things on eBay

Space Giants Merchandising Kit (eBay Link)–  This is an amazing piece of toy and tv history, a merchandising kit for a show called Space Giants or in Japan “Ambassador Magma”. It’s an interesting show and there was a weird battle for rights sometime in the 1990s. Anyway, I really like Space Giants and would love to own this.

Wacky Packs Plush- 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Wacky Packs Stuffed Collectible (eBay Link)–  As a fan of the Topps Wacky Packs, I had no idea there was so much merchandise. I would buy this thing if I saw it in the wild.

Spider-Man Hippity Hop- 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Spider-Man Hippity Hop (eBay Link)– Oh Spider-Man, you’d put your name on anything just like Krusty the Klown but occasionally you stumble into magic. I love this thing and if I ever become a weird “dot com millionaire” I’ll travel on one of these exclusively.

Yeti Soundtrack- 5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

The Yeti Soundtrack (eBay Link)– For those not in the know, there is a film called “Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century” and it’s an Italian film set in down town Toronto. Not only is this film a total time warp for me but it has a soundtrack with the “hit” single “Yeti Disco” by the Yetians. It sounds made up but it’s just so real. The movie is on YouTube, it’s super stupid and well worth your time.

Bicentennial Lamp (eBay Link)- I have such weird memories of the Bicentennial, mainly because I’m Canadian but I did get suckered into that Treasury Edition with Superman on the cover but it was just some reprints of “Tomahawk” inside (Shakes Fist!). I don’t know what you’d do with this lamp past 1976 but what do I know?

“The movie is on YouTube, it’s super stupid and well worth your time.” I feel like you’re speaking directly to me!

I watched Space Giants in ’78.. I was 4 years old at the time. I was surprised about how much I remembered from it after Googling it over the last few years. “Fantastic” special effects (as the one sheet suggests), is certainly subjective to the time. : )
