All these toys now appear as free gifts on magazine's aimed at 3-9 year olds on British newspaper shops
I always eagerly bought those foam glider planes. They usually broke after about 5 flights.
The comment about those appearing on kids comics in the UK now is absolutely spot on!
I collect the Doctor Who versions of those magazine Rack Toys, they're wonderful. I wish I still had my Gnasher puppet from the Beano
Its the shitty toy spinner rack in the drug store from when I was a kid!
This looks really cool but… what the heck are all those things? For example, the Jetsons themed… gun? Hairdryer?
It appears to be a bubble-blowing gun.I have squinted at just about every item on this rack, and have figured out what most of it is.Try it,its fun.
Seems they still make the foam plastic gliders. I picked up a few in the massive Gay Dolphin* gift shop in Myrtle Beach, SC, USA a few years ago.
*the shop opened back in the '40s when the name was a synonym for 'Happy Dolphin'…
I have the main panel and side (or is it front?) panel of the Prehistoric Monsters box! I couldn't save the whole box, but didn't want to throw away the cool dinosaur artwork, so I cut it apart & saved those panels. (As a kid, I apparently couldn't figure out how to carefully break down the box & flatten it. On the other hand, as a kid I never thought that boxes would become collector's items!)
