One for the Boomers, Captain Action

In digging around I found this cool homegrown ad for Ideal’s Captain Action line and while it’s not really the focus here it was kind of cool so I wanted to share. I, being of the Mego Superheroes era don’t have any childhood memories of the Captain but his place in action figure history is undeniable.

Ironically, the good Captain is now available in Mego Size through Castaway Toys, he looks great too!

Joske’s! That’s a name I haven’t seen in print in a long time! How sweet is that it is also the one in San Antonio!

That building down town is still referred to as the “Joske’s Building” and it’s been closed for years, since I was a tiny one.
