Not the Han Solo I remember

I recently got a Denys Fisher catalog from the UK, they seemed to only carry the 12″ Star Wars line and I couldn’t help but notice something was different about Han.

Gaaah! It’s Topher Grace! Run!

I think that was when Parker Stevenson was up for the role of Han Solo.

It totally is a Parker Stevenson doll from the Hardy Boys.

The catalog is likely from 1978, so that is why Parker Stevenson of The Hardy Boys is filling in for Han. Han Solo wasn't released until 1979, along with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jawa, and Boba Fett.

Ha ha ha, hilarious! And made me recall that I used to put Darth Vader's cape on my Han Solo doll so he could be Dracula (inspired by the Frank Langella version that was out at the time)! Worked pretty well, he was all over my sister's Barbies.
