Three thoughts…
First, you're right on about the greatest Doctor who never was. He would have been outta sight and dy-no-mite!
Second, the lithe smiling young man in the purple ribbed and belted sweater lounging around two posts up would have been the perfect…. companion… for Doctor Green or perhaps the sixth Doctor.
Third, if they made that ensemble today in all-black, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
