Kidco Silver Warriors/Space Defenders Catalog

Kidco Silver Warriors/Space Defenders Catalog

Kidco silver warriors

Kidco (a pretty logical name for a toy company) made some pretty unassuming toys during the 1970s, the most interesting items they produced in 1979 are not one but two different lines of Shogun Warrior inspired toys.
Sliver Warriors and Space Defenders are the things you find at toy shows or in lots and have no idea as to what they are. Hopefully this catalog solves some childhood and/or toy collector mysteries

YES! Oh man, I totally had the "Space Defender" on the right! In fact, he might still be hiding in the attic somewhere. I had no idea what exactly he was.

Kidco also made Tough Wheels and Burnin' Key Cars in the early 1980's.

Almost forgot about these guys. I had Trungo…the blue/red/silver dude. Pretty sturdy toys who could go head to head with the die-cast Shogun Warriors.

The "Silver Warriors" toys are from the Nippon Animation Company series "Machine Gundan Blocker IV", one of their few robot shows. This explains why I have two of them. They have noisemakers in the chests that make whizzing whistle sounds when blown through.

    Pretty cool toys.

Unfortunately, the name Kidco brings to mind a certain movie starring Scott Schwartz 🙂
