The karate belt . . . the leg pockets . . . the “follow the arrow, ladies” tops . . .
This is a true find, nice job!
Its actually pointing at the wearer’s crotch, which was really the whole point of the 1970s.
Obviously the arrow is there to remind them to “keep buttoning!”
You can tell, because in each photo the guy without the arrow stopped buttoning prematurely.

By the way, as an engineer, I must protest that the pocketed shirts may be stylish, but my pocket protector and multiple pens would fall completely out of those!
