For the Go Getting Drunk

For the Go Getting Drunk

Wow, what can I say about this except does anybody still use these? It’s pretty funny that the ad centers on men here, no dames allowed. My dad was a travelling salesman, he must have known guys with these.

It’s weird but when I look at what a generation before me considered essential travel equipment, I can’t help but feel like less of a man. I spend my business travel drinking two generic beers (actually liquor makes my tummy sad) before falling asleep with a documentary on TV.

Believe it or not, I have an Aunt that still packs one of these whenever she travels. You have to assume that “open container” laws apply here if you get pulled over.

I would love to own one of these…but I cannot imagine ever using one for it’s intended purpose.

I have the same feelings about hip flasks as well.

Generic beer? Jeez, life’s too short. At least get a Bass!

JFStan: If it’s got a combo lock and it’s not accessible from the driver’s seat, she may get away with i 🙂

Wow! That is awesome. I would love to have one of these. Put on some Dean Martin tunes and drink away. Cheers!

You asked if anybody still uses these and I can tell you with all honesty, that yes, they do. I have seen it with my own eyes.

Jeez, if I had one of these I’d fill it with comics.

Never travel without at least one of mine. I collect barware in general, and have several trav-l-bars, even one that looks like a violin case. You can see them in my barware flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/experiment33/sets/72157594556833484/

and others are sharing similar collections in the barware group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/barware/pool/
