Back in the 1970s, the Soul Train wasn't the only music fuelled mass transit system, these fine folks are the conductors of Funk Tram.
Check the copy for the Big Head cap! A long-forgotten and eminently practical fashion accessory, the "stash pocket" is directly responsible for saving thousands of young men from narcotics-related arrests.
Only the most experienced beat-cops would ever think of checking a suspect's cap for contraband. For most oficers, if a strong pat-down and emptied pockets turned up nothing, a young man would be let off with a few choice comments about his parentage and a frustrated smack on the back of the head to send him on his way.
The time and the culture seems right for this particular fashion item to make a triumphant come-back
