TV trays will forever remind me of my grandparents, who despite having a dining room table that faced the television chose to sit in comfort while they dined and watched “CHiPs” reruns. All the time, the police scanner blared away….

wow did you just jog a forgotten memory. we had trays like these when i was growing up. they were so much better than the plain wood ones i have now, there was so much more space on the old ones!
I agree with dancin homer. I have "nice" wood ones now that are smaller and kind of unstable. When I was growing up we had two plastic and one metal TV tray that all had floral prints. Bigger and study. Ugly as sin…but more functional!

Oh, yeah!
I still remember my own grandparents. Theirs were fully metal and had a lip so your plate wouldn't slide around.
Just substitute Lawrence Welk for CHiPS but, keep the police scanner.
