BJ and the Bear toys

I did a little mini freak out when I discovered these Fleetwood “BJ and the Bear” toys in their 1980 catalog, I rarely missed the adventures of B.J. McKay and his monkey life partner. I was also fanatically loyal to Sherrif Lobo during his short run.

The last time I saw this series was on business in Germany, you truly haven’t lived until you see this series in German at 4 am…

    I haven’t thought of BJ and the Bear for years. Which came first, BJ or ‘any which way but loose’?

    Both BJ and the Bear and the Misadventures of Sherrif Lobo are rerun on a new syndicate called Retro Television Network. They are cobbling together the new channels that local stations get when they go digital. It’s mainly rural so far, but it does seem to be spreading. They re-run some cheesy, but also some really good 70’s shows.
