Breaking: Disney to remake “The Black Hole”

I normally don’t concern myself with all things modern but this article from Reuters claims Disney is ready to go “in, through and beyond” the Black Hole once again. Being a GIANT fan of the original I can honestly say I never thought this day would ever come.
Does this mean we’ll finally see some merchandise again? I really need a 12″ Humanoid doll…

I also loved it but I know many people who'd say "Wasn't one enough?"

I had all of the robots and the captain figure. Never could find the humanoid =^(

I had the story record with pictures to follow inside the album cover. Pretty cool.

I just finished the novelization (first run paperback, yo) last month and thought: here's an idea that needs a re-imagining.

Less "Lost in Space" remake and more Sky One /New BSG treatment (without the giant plot holes and shark-jumping).

At least re-design the Palimino so it looks cooler than a small-town water tower…

I always held that somewhere inside "The Black Hole" was a good movie struggling to get out.

And no, I don't mean "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."

I guess this means a Condorman movie can't be far behind.

I guess we'll have to see how well the "Tron" remake turns out to get an indication of what this one will look like. I always liked the premise of the movie and the stylized special effects were way cool. I just hated how they fudged the science and created an ending that made no sense. If they correct those flaws (and get rid of the cutesy robot garbage), it could be a good movie.
