5 Awesome Things on eBay this week
Kenner Venus Space Probe (eBay Link) –
As a dabbler in Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man stuff, I’ve kind of resigned to the notion I’ll never own one of these. They are pricey and rare, and well, they never turn up around here. I do kind of hope I get to play with one sometime, though; it looks neat.
Black Light Mr Spock Poster (eBay Link) –
Each week there is always one piece that truly tasks me but it’s either too expensive or something else complicated. With this, it’s just wall space. I don’t see the point of having posters if I can’t display them, and for some reason, my wife refuses to live in a lighthouse. Anyhoo, the colour on this makes me happy.

Colour Organ in the box (eBay Link) –
I’ve been obsessed with these darn things all my life, although I only figured out what they were called ten years ago. This one is nice but to dear for me. I wish someone would make one of these shaped like Dr. Theopolis from Buck Rogers.
Mattel Creepy Crawlers carrying case (eBay Link) –
I did not know such a thing existed until Courtney showed me this week. I will admit I was not present for the first wave of Creepy Crawlers, though I have some friends with the scars to prove it who have gushed. It’s amazing how popular this toy which was essentially a hot plate you melted plastic with, was.
Doctor Who Viewmasters (eBay Link)–
Look, I love both Doctor Who and Viewmasters, but when it came to tv, they sometimes didn’t pick a winner when it came to episodes. Castrovolva is the first story featuring the 5th Doctor; a mathematician wrote it, and hoo boy, does that show. I doubt I’ve seen it in 25 years, but it makes me wonder if it could be a substitute for melatonin. I’d still probably buy this…
Tattoo’s custom car from Fantasy Island (not an eBay link)
So my friend Rockford sent this to me, and I have to show it off. Heritage Auctions has the Tattoo car from Fantasy Island! The exact same one that Herve drove on the set, sometimes with a chimp. This is pretty incredible but I’ll let one of you grab it.
