5 Awesome Things on eBay this week- Spidey’s webs, bony fingers, Frankenstein, Space:1999 and parachuting Cylons!

Enesco Frankenstein (sponsored link) –
Disclaimer: I don’t know a ton about Enesco statues, so I’m not sure if this is official or done in it’s style. I just love it’s style, as for the empty Orange Crush bottle, I’m kind of indifferent to it….
Dime store “Bony Fingers” (sponsored link) –
I assume this is like a pocket protector but for monster kids. I applaud this.
Chemtoy Spider-Man Web Maker Store Display (sponsored link)
I have nothing but happy memories associated with this toy; it was an amazing afternoon. This store display has my collector senses tingling or maybe I just have my phone on vibrate, not sure.
Vanity Fair Space:1999 Wrist Radios (Sponsored) –
A couple of weeks back, I did a top 10 coolest Space:1999 toys, these didn’t make the list but they are super rare. I’ve always found them comical, “Wrist Radios just like they don’t use on the series!”
Battlestar Galactica Parachute Gun (Sponsored link)
The vast majority of Larami’s Battlestar Galactica toy line was labelled as generic toys, but I applaud this one for its Cylon-shaped parachutists.

I’ve seen the 1999 wrist radio online, and I have to say, if you ignore the wrist band (which for some reason looks like it should be attached to the Major Matt Mason Space station/Moon Base), the thing looks like an Apple Watch! Big clunky square! lol
Actually, in my adult play/fan fiction daydreams, I picture Major Matt Mason having his lunar adventures in the run up to building Moonbase Alpha, but sadly, no 1999 figures are in the right scale with the Major. (The Major’s pal Captain Lazer could play with the OSI Bionic Heroes, however.)
Space toy moonplay timeline:
70s: Six Million Dollar Man
80s: Major Matt Mason
90s: Space: 1999
(Space GI Joes and Astronaut Barbies can be from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s!)
I bet the Bony Fingers would have been fun to stage ‘accidents’ with Tonka trucks (like the fake hands people stick out of their car trunks even today)… under a wheel, between two trucks colliding head on, dug up by a ditchdigger. Etc. (Heyy if we can have fun with the Lincoln Monster victim in our play….lmbo)
Love that Galactica parachute gun!! It’s totally ideal for playing space battles instead of cowboys and Native Americans! Hmm, wonder if you could shave off the bottom of the gun insertion pice and put it in a mug or office organizer with some pens and pencils to pretend you have a Cylon pen! (Dunno if those were a real thing or not…)
Cool stuff this week! Thanks for fueling daydreams of playing with toys!
