I struggle with words here, I mean, it’s….complete with ascot! What more do you need? Buy this and expect nothing but good things to happen to you. I bet it smells like cologne and cigarettes…

Thriller Graveyard Gang (eBay Link) –

I adore this 1980s KO set based on the Michael Jackson “Thriller” video. In fact, we did a corker of an article about them in Toy-Ventures magazine issue 5. I’ve wanted to take the plunge for a while, and this guy is really temping. 

Joe 90 Viewmasters (eBay Link) —

I was introduced to Joe:90 at the mall, the ITC TV movie was playing at the Bay in the Oshawa Center, and I WATCHED THE WHOLE THING in a furniture store, and the staff didn’t care. Gerry Anderson’s shows were super fascinating to me as a kid. Joe 90 never appealed to me like Captain Scarlet or Stingray, but one must respect the artistry.

Superhero Light switch Plates (eBay Link) –

I love this so much, I have the Superman one around here somewhere. These were made by the same company who made the fridge magnets I’m obsessed with.  

A gaggle of Pink Lady merchandise (eBay Link) —

True confession, I missed “Pink Lady and Jeff” back in the day, I blame this on an older sibling but I’m not mad about it. However, life is strange, and I’ve made friends with the show’s world’s biggest fan who is selling his collection. So this barely scrapes the surface, and expect oodles more.

Remco Wonder Woman Utility Belt (eBay Link) –

I’m an ardent fan of the Remco Utility belt and breaker of at least two. While the quality varied from character to character, this Wonder Woman set was particularly great; every girl on my street had one. 

Remco Star Trek Astro-Train (eBay Link) —

Speaking of Remco, although the pre-bankrupt version was the king of slapping labels on their existing toys. The Astro-Train is the stuff of legend and was only spoken of in whispers in the pre-Internet days. Now it’s $350 on eBay, out of instinct I almost went for it, but it’s not really a Star Trek toy. 

Hoo Doo Halloween Costume (eBay Link) —

As much as I don’t really dig Lidsville, this is the only Charles Nelson Reily Halloween costume we’re going to get fellow latch-key kids. 

Man from Atlantis Puzzle (eBay Link) —

For a show that lasted a lunchtime there sure was a lot of merchandising interest. I really dig the merchandise but honestly, some of those episodes are a complete slog.

Basa Superheroes Jointed Giants from Peru (eBay Link) —

The Our Ways Studios Jointed Giants were popular in the US but in Peru, they added characters including Thor. I have no room for such things but the art on these makes a hard argument on the “pro owning them” side of things.

Loving this UK advertisement for Our Way Studios Jointed Giants Super Heroes. I wanted these really bad as a kid, heck I’d still love to get the Planet of the Apes Galen. They weren’t terribly expensive either, I just never saw them as a kid other than Heroes World advertisements.
