This pin reminds me of the 70s Superhero fridge magnets I collect and adore. If there is a fridge magnet equivalent to this, it will be mine! This I swear! 

Billy Carter “I shot J.R.” T-Shirt (eBay link) –

Look I found the most dated reference clothing ever. If you wear this, expect at least once to explain a) Who Billy Carter is and b) the TV Show Dallas. I recommend using “Who Shot Mr. Burns” as a teaching aid with anyone under 30.

Remco Fist Faces (eBay Link)- 

Remco in the 1960s was one of those companies that really took chances with concepts. This toy is like a “Make your own Senior Wences” kit, which you could probably just put together with stuff around the house. The name “Fist Faces” though, m’waaaaa Chef’s Kiss.

How to draw Monsters and spaceships books (eBay Link)–

I don’t think I had these books as a kid but I would have eaten them up like franks and beans. 

Charlie’s Angels Underwater Intrigue (eBay Link) –

Remember that episode of Charlie’s Angels where they went scuba diving? I don’t but it probably did happen on the show. The Hasbro Charlies Angels toys were really cool and tried to combine adventure with fashion, I applaud them for that. Also, this set contains pieces from a very rare mail-away Super Joe set to boot. Lots to love here!

The 1976 TV debut of Charlie’s Angels was somewhat reviled by TV critics but a runaway hit with the audience which not only included men but young girls who saw the crime-fighting trio as role models. This lead to merchandising and in 1977 “Angel Mania” hit toy shelves, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith signed their likeness to Mego for celebrity fashion dolls (such a clever workaround) but the main event was the Hasbro line of 9″ figures based on the series.

Toy fair 1977 saw the launch of the Hasbro Charlie’s Angels toy line, the line would grow in 1978 and actually include cast member changes.

Hasbro gave Angel’s jumpsuits and neckerchiefs, which is something ABC should have done. 

Predictably, the Hasbro Charlies Angels concept was to sell costumes, disguises and flying skateboards?.

Some of this stuff was also sold for Superjoe the same year..

The Hasbro Charlies Angels Hideaway House is the typical dollhouse/playset that I wish was more common these days. Bosely not included, you’ll have to use your Mego Friar Tuck.
