Oh man, as much as I watched the Flinstones every day at noon (CFTO Baby!), my heart will always belong to Birdman and the Galaxy Trio which actually show up in this thorough little book!

Vampirella Door Poster (eBay Affiliate Link) –

I have the weirdest relationship with the character. I owned one of her magazines for a single day until I sold it for less than I paid to a very beautiful woman who wanted to create an outfit for herself. I saw the terrible movie (and I’m a huge Jim Wynorski fan) and that’s about it. However, if Mego released a Vampirella doll tomorrow, I’d take ten!

There is something so iconic and fun about the character’s design. Also, we need more female figures in 8″ scale….

MicroMan Knock Off Space Tank (eBay Affiliate Link) —

I miss the era of the early 80s Transformer Knock-Off boom. My first gig was selling these imports as “Transformers” in a dodgy kiosk at the Whitby Mall that was just gone one day. I really want this, but I will likely forget when it ends.

Remco I Dream of Jeannie doll (eBay Affiliate Link) —

It’s interesting to not how many of my beloved childhood television shows were syndicated shows cancelled before I was born. Remco’s Jeannie came out in 1976 and I think that was at three years after the cartoon. Afternoon syndication was a gold mine, I’m surprised there weren’t Monkees action figures.

Beneath the Planet of the Apes Promotional Newspaper (eBay Affiliate Link) —

20th Century Fox used to release these wonderful faux newspapers for the Apes Sequels. I put the one for Conquest (my favourite Apes film) on the site a ways back. These are campy fun and a style of marketing we’ll never see again, unless the Apes take over*……

*If the Apes do in fact, take over, I will turn you all in on a dime! Do not trust me….

Thanks to this site, I found one of my top five personal wants and I know it’s hard to believe but this is done without irony. I really liked Fantasy Island as a kid and this poster art set is one of the cooler bits of merchandise it got.


Look how pimp Mr. Roarke and Tattoo look there!

I’ve honestly been looking for this set for years, it rarely pops up, unlike Star Wars which is constantly available.


Like all Craft Master Poster Art sets, the art is phenomenal but I’m honestly unsure of how to get the results depicted on the package with those markers.

Unlike today, Langely and Associates was one of those rare places in the mid 70s where you could buy fan merchandise, their catalog was loaded with everything from King Kong posters to a whole selection of 8″ by 10″ stills from “The Prisoner“.

However, the big thing was a wonderful array of Star Trek merchandise, particularly an amazing amount of groovy posters. I’ve seen some of these in comic book ads but never in full glorious colour, check em out after the jump!

I adore the font used in the Star Trek logo.

That’s a lot of phaserin’ going on.
