A vintage toy brand is rising from the grave! “Lincoln Monsters” is a new collaboration from White Elephant Toyz, Absolutely Retro and Plaid Stallions, who have joined forces to make dimestore retro monsters. The name is inspired by the legendary knock-off toy company Lincoln International. However, Lincoln Monsters reimagines the company as a 70s third-rate film studio, making exploitation and copying horror trends. Each Lincoln Monster release and creation will center around a fictional movie from Lincoln International Studios, premiering with The Evil of Count Dracula.

The 8″ Evil of Count Dracula figure will be on a type S body, with a look inspired by the past but retaining the LM house style.

Each Evil of Dracula figure will come in a gorgeous solid box with artwork by Chris Franklin depicting the gorey poster for the movie made to cash in on Hammer horror. Like all good horror shows, this is a double bill as Lincoln Monsters will also release “The Power of Frankenstein,” featuring a stunning poster by Chris Franklin. “Our goal is to create well-made figures inspired by cheap knock-offs,” explains White Elephant Toyz Jason Schiermeyer who adds, “At a collector-friendly price point.” Subsequent releases from Lincoln Monsters will include original male and female character designs that cross multiple film genres from Science Fiction, Horror and Exploitation. The fictional Lincoln studio was known to dabble in Gothic Horror, Ozsplotation, Philippine Drive-In movies and Italian rip-offs.

White Elephant Toyz and Odeon present the first officially licensed action figure of Tura Satana.

This limited edition action figure is 8″ tall and features a detailed outfit, natural hair, motorcycle gloves, and boots. Tura is ready to kick your other action figures’ asses.

Each Tura Satana Action figure comes in vintage style packaging with striking artwork by Joseph Michael Linsner, creator of “Dawn.”

Great news from the factory floor as White Elephant Toyz shared some new images of the “Fresh from the mould” pieces for the upcoming Tura Satana action figure.

The figure’s head has come out of the moulding process, looking just like the original sculpt. The figure will also come with custom-sculpted boots (based on Varla’s look) and gloves.

The official  action figure is almost here, sign up for our mailing list to get an exclusive art print and early notice when the figure is ready, so you can, as Varla would say, “Go get her!”

The Tura Satana action figure is being co-produced by White Elephant Toyz and PlaidStallions under license from Tura Satana Inc. and will be available in late 2022. This 8″ retro cloth figure will be a limited edition and come in an exclusive solid box with art by Joseph Michael Linsner.

I am selling my last Brick Mantooth action figures, and once this sale is over, he will be retired, at least in 8″ form. He may pop up in other projects, like Polyester Pals.

When I got this notion to do a figure in 2010, it was a pretty crazy idea, especially for a one-income household with two kids.

However, I had a good team of enablers.

My good friend Sean Sansom who has worked for McFarlane, EMCE, Bif Bang Pow and Mego and has an Oscar(!) gave his time and sculpted the head for me for free.

Museum soulmates Robyn Adams and Steve Moore helped with the figure’s art, outfits and overall look. Paul “Dr.Mego” Clarke provided an important means of production.

Making toys is scary; whenever I got a factory update, my stomach went into knots.  When they arrived, I assumed the Super Collector would sell out, and Brick would be the peg warmer, but he outsold the Super Collector (making those mini Mego Museums, don’t get me started).

People embraced Brick, and Steve Moore especially, who created the “Man Mates” fashion line, even a “Van Tooth,”  which I lost track of and regretted not buying more:

Robyn Adams created the Brick Mantooth Bachelor pad playset using her invention called DIDA DISPLAYS with a little help from Paul @lasermego:

The prototype figures were even seen at the 2010 Toy Fair thanks to EMCE Toys:

And I’d be remiss without mentioning the commercial, filmed in my Gramma’s basement using my kids as actors. My friend Sam Noir also was used as a stand-in for reshoots and my friend Rob Chatlin (check out his new documentary on Dave Stevens) edited the commercial because I had no clue how to do that.

Along the way, I started making Brick Parody figures like “Micronaughty” and “Polyestar” and selling tiny runs:

And the customs folks made with Brick really brought me joy. I could fill pages with them.

The amazing Chris Franklin even turned Brick into a comic character in the pages of Megozine:

This project was not about getting rich or making money at all, I think I broke even.

It did provide me with a healthy outlet, learning experiences, and friendships and made my life better.

They’re finally here! The Polyester Pals figures produced with White Elephant Toyz have made it to our secret headquarters. 

These 2.5″ tall inaction figures are based on our Pod Stallions characters, Satin Monster and RON: Spacepimp.  They don’t do anything except stand there and make you look like a super cool badass who knows kung fu and is probably a part-time ninja. We’re talking a serious “Nick Cage” energy here.

The Polyester Pals are compatible with the new Graveyard Geekz figures.

The Polyester Pals are sold in pairs and in two colours, Avacado Green and Electric Orange with a header card with original art by Chris Franklin.
