1977 Fleetwood Toys Catalog
Fleetwood toys was one of the biggest and most prolific manufacterers of Rack Toys during the 1970s and 80s.
In 1977, they were truly on top of their game as evidenced by the massive amount of licenses they had, from TV stars to your favourite characters from Saturday morning and the comic rack, it's hard to find something you don't like.
This cover is an explosion of late 70s pop culture.
Fleetwood reissued slightly smaller, fully painted versions of the Marvel Comics Superheroes figures originally produced by Marx. I collect these and it's not going well..
Tarzan was a strong property due to his Filmation Saturday morning adventures, the antics of the Sweathogs still sold toys as well.
I don't know about you but I'd give two headed Spidey/Cap anything he wants, DON'T HURT ME!
I don't think that we can get away with those kind of water guns today..
The Fleetwood "Fly, Avengers Fly" items are way ahead of their time, especially since this is likely the first time Vision appeared in toy form..
I am proud to say that I am one item away from completing this collection. Yay Me!
If you ever needed evidence that Emergency! was a big hit, here it is. Fun Fact: I named our mascot Brick Mantooth after the star of this program.
Starsky and Hutch could sell the crap out of guns.
Apparantly so could the Rookies.
It's surpising that there weren't more Torino toys made but I guess it's easier to repackage the same gun.
S.W.A.T had my entire neighbourhood wanting a rifle, i'm not sure I've ever watched a whole episode.....
Here is a show that didn't get a pile of toys, Ba-Ba-Black Sheep, for some reason Fleetwood is using the syndicated nake of the show.
