\nAnother l’il mystery I found in doing research for “Rack Toys<\/a>” this one is from the 1979 catalog, a time when AHI seemed to renewing their interest in superhero items.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nThese Fantastic Four parachute figures appeared in the 1979 catalog<\/a> along with new characters like the Incredible Hulk and Captain America.<\/span>

It’s pretty logical that AHI would pick those characters seeing as all of them had tv deals in one way or another. In the FF’s case, it was an NBC TV cartoon series (the one with H.E.R.B.I.E) that was a pretty big deal.<\/p>\n

Seeing these mocked up figures makes me wonder if they ever saw any sort of release? I kind of hope so as it would give me more reason to hit the flea markets….
