Well, folks, today is the day. It would have been sooner, but I hesitated to order bodies because I didn’t want it to end. Then I realized that was silly and put this together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am selling my last Brick Mantooth action figures<\/a>, and once this sale is over, he will be retired, at least in 8″ form. He may pop up in other projects, like Polyester Pals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I got this notion to do a figure in 2010, it was a pretty crazy idea, especially for a one-income household with two kids<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, I had a good team of enablers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My good friend Sean Sansom<\/a> who has worked for McFarlane, EMCE, Bif Bang Pow and Mego and has an Oscar(!) gave his time and sculpted the head for me for free.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Museum soulmates Robyn Adams and Steve Moore helped with the figure’s art, outfits and overall look. Paul “Dr.Mego<\/a>” Clarke provided an important means of production.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Making toys is scary; whenever I got a factory update, my stomach went into knots.\u00a0 When they arrived, I assumed the Super Collector would sell out, and Brick would be the peg warmer, but he outsold the Super Collector<\/a> (making those mini Mego Museums, don’t get me started). <\/strong><\/p>\n

People embraced Brick, and Steve Moore especially, who created the “Man Mates” fashion line, even a “Van Tooth,”\u00a0 which I lost track of and regretted not buying more:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Robyn Adams created the Brick Mantooth Bachelor pad playset using her invention called DIDA DISPLAYS with a little help from Paul @lasermego<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n
