The Frankenstein Monster, simply called “Frankenstein” here is largely reminiscent of the Universal Monsters’ makeup without infringing. The head is just shy of being a flat top, bolts are in the forehead as opposed to the neck (Mego<\/a> did this too with their Frankenstein doll) and the skin is scarred and a ghoulish green.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The outfit clearly is aping the Azrak-Hamway Frankenstein figure<\/a>.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”17205″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][vc_column_text]Lincoln International Frankenstein Solid Box<\/strong><\/p>\n

The hard-to-find solid boxed example has a wonderful typo, as the figure’s name is “Frankensten”, which shows that somebody wasn’t proofing at Lincoln that day. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The art on the box clearly mimicking the wonderful Mego Mad Monsters Gray Morrow<\/a> packaging, although done in a more childlike fashion. This gives a clear timeline for these as being released in 1975. To the best of our knowledge, the solid boxes were released solely in the United Kingdom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are a couple of distinct variations of the Frankenstein packaging and figure as we’ll explore below.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Above is a “B” card or sometimes referred to as “UK Card” Frankenstein, the figure is one of the bigger indicators it represents a later product time. His head is a solid green color not flesh painted green unlike the earlier version seen below.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The card back is an obvious copy of the US cards and the figure is a “B” style variant as mentioned in Toy-Ventures magazine issue 3<\/a>.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”17206″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Lincoln International Frankenstein Figure Variations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Above is a loose example of an earlier or “A” Lincoln Frankenstein, this one culled from the solid box. There are essential 3 variations of the figure, the A release figure can have either a solid colour or a flesh coloured head that is spray painted green, see below:<\/p>\n
