Which was better for Milton Bradley’s The Dark Tower or Mattel’s Electronic Dungeons and Dragons?

I’m sincerely asking because I’ve never played either. Not for lack of trying, mind you. I was ten when the fantasy craze started in the early 1980s, and I got swept up in it. I tried to play Dungeons and Dragons like many suburban kids with asthma; it seemed like something I might enjoy. I purchased the starter Dungeons and Dragons kit from a used bookstore and fell fast asleep reading the first two pages. This happened repeatedly; heck, I should keep it at my bedside now.

A local friend was a DM and invited me to play Dungeons and Dragons one Sunday afternoon. I got killed off for being silly and never asked back, I was not hurt by that.

After that experience, I really wanted to see if these electronic games would be more my speed, but something else was eating all my money, the Atari 2600.

There I found the fantasy game that was truly my speed filled with dragons, bats and secret rooms.
