Spider-Man and Captain America Richochet Racers (eBay Link) —

I’ve never owned these toys but have always been obsessed with them since I saw them at my friend Richard’s House. None of it makes sense and none of it has to, I always loved the comic book ad for this, it also makes zero sense, even to a kid.

AHI Planet of the Apes Zing Wing

AHI Planet of the Apes Zing Wing (eBay Link) —

AHI Sold a lot of Zing-Wings based on pop culture, like Star Trek and Spider-Man. The word “Frisbee” was the one we all used but all the other toy companies had to make up their own word. 

Tomland Bionic Woman Knock Off (eBay Link) —

For those not in the know, Tomland Toys was a company not exactly all that concerned about lawsuits. Case in point, they produced the second most galling copyright theft next to “Mr. Rock” by Lincoln International. “Sonic Woman” was a Bionic Woman clone. She wears a red track suit and has two silver limbs. I love her.

Bootleg Carnival Plush C3-PO (eBay Link) —

I don’t have words. I’m not a big Star Wars guy, but I am a fan of bootlegs and Carnivals (and, as an aside, Corndogs), so as Khan said, “It Tasks Me!” But I’m probably going to forget about it.

Fireball XL-5 Paper Dolls (eBay Link) —

I’m too young for Gerry Anderson’s Fireball X-L5, but I admire its mid-century “retro-future” charm. It’s so delightful. I know the entire theme tune and love seeing the detail in the merchandise. Lovely stuff but I don’t really know the series all that well.

Milton Brady Pink Lady (Minus Jeff) Boardgame (eBay Link) —

“Pink Lady” were a Japanese sensation before they got their variety series in the US. What blows my mind more here is not that they got a game but that Milton Bradley was also doing board games in Japan? I learned today! I deserve a reward of some kind!

Mego Klingon Card Variant (eBay Link) —

I guess for a brief time in the UK, Palitoy ran out of Klingon Cards and just created this jazzy sticker to go over it. Just a running change in a company’s day-to-day problem solving, now an insane adult collectible. I won’t make fun; I love this sort of thing, and the Mego Klingon is a brilliant action figure.

Fantastic Four Water Pistol (eBay Link) —

France’s Pin Pin Toys carried a ton of products from Mego and AHI but also made their own products like this pretty non-descript water gun. The Fantastic Four are huge in France and well, that seems totally deserved. 

Spider-Man Sticker Book from France (eBay Link) —

I always really appreciate Super Heroe merchandise that uses it’s own artwork. It happens so rarely now but look at this fun cover, it’s gorgeous and hey, it’s all the movie Spideys.

70s DC Comics Kitchen Magnets (eBay Link) —

Oh look, childhood happiness. I still have the Robin I’ve had my entire life, there are marvel versions too and BarbaPappas!

Henshin Cyborg Operation Game (eBay Link) –—

My pal Ed posted this on the Mego Museum forums and I mean, it’s incredible. It’s the officially licensed Game of Operation but instead of a nude guy we get Henshin Cyborg. This is fortified awesome. 

Ideal Derry Daring adventure set (eBay Link) —

Derry Daring was Evel Knievel but for girls, it makes sense I’m sure lots of girls wanted to play with that stunt set. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carded figure before and I am in love with the artwork. This is really awesome.

Superman Sleeping Bag (eBay Link) —

I love comic book Sleeping bags especially ones where Superman is burping and beating up Marlon Brando from “The Wild One.”

Weird Bootleg Tarzan figure (eBay Link) __

Weird Tarzan figures like this are the Faberge egg of my house. I’ve got them everywhere, I can’t resist them!

Dutch Bionic Man Turbo Tower Set (eBay Link) —

Clipper was the Netherlands distributor for Kenner products (we have a Clipper catalog here) and I just really love the packaging on this wonderful toy.

Marvel Superhero Stamps (eBay Link) —

I loved Super Hero stamps as a kid and completely forget they were a thing. It did not give me a life long love of stamps but I think they’re incredible and wish i had to money.

Color Forms Tru Dimension set (eBay Link)—

These were 3D hobby sets introduced in 1976 by Colorforms and the brain child of toy inventory Mel Birnkrant. If you want to read more about them, read Mel’s story on them and then enjoy his incredible website.

Manuel has a great selection of Krofft borad games, I’ve never seen the Bugaloo’s one above.

A lot of folks noticed my lack of Pufnstuf merch this week, mea culpa?

I am going to assume this is all the same game with different shows plastered on them.

Sharry sent in this awesome Bigfoot and Wildboy puzzle I want to own.

Speaking of Sharry, she’s also got some cool encounters with former Krofft celebrities, here she is with Sigmund’s Johnny Whitaker.

I was denied this as a child but I remember friends having this wonderful kit and as you’d expect from something with Vincent Price’s face on the box, it was a high quality item.
