Aaah. Beautiful stuff. There was the inclusion in MOTU, Ghostbusters, TMNT, and I believe the Toxic Avenger toys as well. I believe there was even a HP tie-in that featured the stuff. Smelled weird, but it was a beautiful smell.

Loved Green Slime as a kid. In the early 90s as supposed adults we purchased Terminator “Liquid Metal” from a gumball machine, appeared to be a Green Slime knockoff. As an experiment we decided to put Liquid Metal into a microwave and see what would happen to it. It spread out and bubbled on the plate and dried out. End of experiment.

I just got two "barrels" of slime from the dollar store the other day - day glow orange and of course the classic green.

Actually it's called "Color Oil Slime. It comes in clear plastic containers that look like oil drums. 7.75 ounces of pure slimey goodness.

Yes kids, it IS as cool as you remember!

YAY! Brian included some Barbie stuff! That Camper stuck around until the mid-80’s and I always wanted one as a kid. Finally found one around 4 years ago in Salvation Army for $3.00 and snapped it up, even though I had NO space for it (it’s HUGE). Currently it’s in my attic, waiting for the day when I have a dedicated “Barbie Room” 🙂

AHHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

You're all on the mark - the things that instantly came to mind upon seeing this entry was 1) that aweful smell that stayed on your hands even after many washings, and 2) that once it hit the floor, it was never the same - rug fuzz, hair, etc just totally killed the consistancy and made it REALLY gross.

I do remember my friend having the glow in the dark kind, and us turning the lights out and flinging it at each other like monkeys in the zoo.

As the person who is in charge of keeping my house neat and clean, chunky b, I answer you with a resounding GOD NO! Fabric + slime was the just most evil of combinations.

I will admit, though, that slime was fun for a while… right out of the can… before it accumulated lint, hair and dirt…

I was just thinking about slime the other day, isn't it time the original made a comeback? Remember how that stuff smelled?
