It was a flocked palomino with "real" hair, and the first one I got as a Christmas present had rubbery legs and it wouldn't stand up! The tv commercial's song went like this:

"Dusty, Dusty, Dusty
Ridin' Nugget, Nugget, Nugget.
They're ridin' east, they're ridin' west,
And now it's time to take a rest."

I believe Nugget came with campfire and pack equipment for those long trail rides.
