I remember seeing the movie in theatres and also had these as pencil holders. A friend actually had the VINCENT and BOB toys that were cool. Loved this movie; just finished watching it again after 33 years.

I had a couple of those pencil holders. I believe I got them in a lot of cereal premiums I bought on ebay years ago. I really dug the Black Hole as a kid. Loved Old Bob, (and Norman Bates) in that flick!

I don't remember neither Black Hole Shreddies promo (probably because I was really young at the time), but I do remember Shreddies' Tron tie-in with the colored mini-flying disc that had one of the characters' portrait on it — Tron, Flynn, Sark, and Yuri. IIRC, I had a blue (or was it green?) one with either Tron or Flynn on it. If you google for Tron and Shreddies, you'll find that Jason from CollectingCandy posted pics of the box and discs on his Flickr stream. 😀 I was already following his blog, but I guess I'll now have to follow his flickr account as well! 😛
